I went for my first long run in far too long on Saturday… The canal towpath was muddy, very much so in the countryside, and my absence of training showed. But on the way back I was treated to the most beautiful sunset, which almost looked like the dawn of a new running era (more about that when I finally get my blogging arse in gear!)

But the previous weeks were spent lazily, travelling to warm, sunny places to eat and drink a lot and watch other people run marathons. And making good use of Philip’s front bike seat before he gets too big for it…

This week will see me get my comuppance in the form of Ashby 20 which will make me repent my lazy ways (and how!) and then, suitably chastised, I can move on to more pleasant things!
